Thanks for listening to the podcast, and I'm glad you're enjoying it and seeing similarities in our practices. Ultimately, anyone who practices a traditional witchcraft or shamanic path will see similarities in the techniques we use. That's simply because good magical technique is good magical technique, no matter where you find it. Many of my listeners are not men-who-love-men, and simply listen to pick up some good techniques and tips.

What makes the Unnamed Path a path for Men-who-love-men, is the core theology and cosmology. The Gods relate to us in a way that mirrors our unique life experience. God isn't just a deity to us, he is our lover... and he is a lover to his other half. If you listen to the podcast on "God in the Unnamed Path" you'll get the vibe of what I'm saying. We relate to the Light God/Dark God dyad as a reflection of our own love relationships - two men coming together, seeing the mirror reflection within each other, and as such forming a greater whole. This is something that only two men who love one another can experience - it is the gay version of the hieros gamos and it is our greatest mystery. That's not to say that heterosexual people can't experience something similar between one another, but it will never contain the same mystery that two men who love one another can.

Additionally, the ancestral current that we draw upon comes through our gay ancestors. The energy they lend us is what we use in our healing techniques and in our magic. It is a unique current that only we have, just like there are unique ancestral currents for all cultures.

Hio!

I found your podcast through the Crooked Path and have listened to a couple shows. I'm just curious what exactly entails your path to be designed for men who love men? Lemme specify, I'm a woman and I've been practicing shamanic techniques for over 10 years now (I know, not very long :)), and you mentioned how this was revealed to be a path for gay men. A lot of the stuff you do mirrors what I do and I'm not a man (though I do love men. ^^' ) I have never found the spiritual realm to be closed to anyone due to their gender or orientation.

Anyway, I love your show. You're doing awesome work! Don't listen to the critism! :) I'm going to listen to the rest of them. I hope you don't mind. :) Keep up the good work!

You are very welcome, and thank you for listening. I, too, feel that a spiritual path should inspire you to seek your own truths and foster a thirst for knowledge and experience. I hope the future podcasts I put out will give you those techniques you're looking for! I want to start putting them out now, but I kind of have to give some fundamental metaphysics, cosmology and such to give men some sense of bearings as to where I'm going with this path... and the other fun part is that the Ancetors are telling me which podcasts to put out and in what order. I intended to do a podcast on Love and Fear but instead that will be held for a future cast.

yay! now i can comment! i posted this in your LJ already, but thought it'd be nice to begin commenting here.

just listened to your first episode, and took notes while listening. i'm very satisfied, and look forward to more. it's nice to see you bringing this all together. many of the things you mention, even in just this first episode, are things i've thought or felt or known before. i must admit my spiritual journey has gotten fuzzy over the past couple years, as disappointment and dissatisfaction with finding the "right" tradition for me began to ship away at my enthusiasm and direction. now i think there is promise here in approaching sprituality through the paradigm you are describing. i'm very interested in applying the techniques you will describe later; my imagination is already beginning to run wild with ideas! this is exactly what a path should do!

thank you for doing this for your brothers.
