A Statement by the Brotherhood

STATEMENT BY THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE UNNAMED PATH REGARDING THE SEPARATION OF CHILDREN OF IMMIGRANTS FROM THEIR PARENTS.

The Brotherhood of the Unnamed Path denounces the actions by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency separating children of immigrants from their parents. We stand against these policies as dictated and enforced by the attorney general and the current administration. We condemn in the strongest terms the justification of these actions by statement of religious scripture or by indicating a need to intimidate and provoke fear.

We are all descendants of immigrants to this land. Our Brotherhood includes some whose families have been here only a generation, some whose families have been here many generations, and some are descendants from the people who set foot on the North American continent almost 20,000 years ago.

The Government of the United States, since its founding has had a sordid history in how it has treated people living on the North American continent, and frankly around the world. We acknowledge this and possess no intent to diminish the harm done to previous generations. We had hoped that our government would be loath to return to committing the atrocities that had been done in the past. We had hoped that those in positions of power and trust would exercise judgment with compassion and an enlightened understanding of what mistakes to not make again. Unfortunately, our hopes are diminished. Our fears are realized.

We call upon the government of the United States to immediately cease its practice of separating families. We encourage legal action, and as people are able and see fit, direct action to protest and disrupt these activities. We ask our ancestors, the spirits of this land, our guides and guardians to aid us all in these efforts.

Our Brotherhood and practices revolve around Love. We the Brotherhood of the Unnamed Path send our Love to all those families suffering and to those fighting against these practices of terror.

To those ordering, instigating, committing, and condoning these brutal deeds, be warned, the ancestors are awake, the spirits are awake, and the people are awakening. You will be held accountable for your acts.

Standing Rock

Mni Wiconi
(“Water is Life” in Lakota)

In August 2016, the Unnamed Path signed onto the Pagan Statement of Solidarity with Standing Rock –

As Winter sets in, with some Water Protectors heading home while others brace for the season, we reaffirm our solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the words expressed in the Pagan Statement of Solidarity.

We encourage everyone, as they are called, to work on this important issue as well as the numerous similar issues they face in their communities.

From the Brotherhood of the Unnamed Path

January 14th, 2014 was a day that none of us could have ever imagined nor will it be a day we will ever forget. Hyperion was our friend, brother, mentor, and teacher and his life was a shining example to all who knew him. He was the embodiment of what is possible through continued dedication to spiritual practice. He lived his life fearlessly, authentically and with a formidable passion for all that he did.

Hyperion has left a legacy and although nobody can replace him, we The Brotherhood recognize that we have a calling to continue this legacy and reach out to other Men-Who-Love-Men through the teachings of the Unnamed Path. His vision has become our vision and will continue to flourish despite his recent transition.

This path WILL continue for Hyperion and for our selves. Classes are continuously forming for Men-Who-Love-Men seeking apprenticeships that lead to initiation by wonderful teachers who have gone through teacher training under his loving and knowledgeable guidance.

Through our continued work, it is our hope that other lives are touched and transformed just as our lives have been and continue to be. So it is with a renewed vigor that we charge forth to the future. The torch has been passed and the flame continues to burn.

Passing of the Torch

From Hyperion’s Family:
On January 14, 2014, Hyperion, the founder of the Unnamed Path, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of an acute cardiac event. Though we mourn his loss, he left behind an amazing magical and spiritual tradition he received from the Ancestors of Men-Who-Love-Men. Before his passing he also personally trained and initiated a group of Brothers into the tradition.

For the last seven years Hyperion’s mission was to bring messages of hope and awareness to as many Men-Who-Love-Men as he could reach. Through his website, podcasts, classes, and lectures he opened the door to the Unnamed Path for many. Upon his passing, the work that Hyperion started was left in the hands of his Brothers and students. They are the torch bearers who will continue his mission under the guidance of the Ancestors of Men-Who-Love-Men and of the spirit of Hyperion himself. May the God and Goddess bless them all!
