Episode 60 – A Discussion on HIV/AIDS

Show Highlights:
• Hyperion interviews Dr. Matthew, a clinical psychologist, to discuss the impact that HIV/AIDS has had on our spirituality and sexuality as men-who-love-men
• HIV/AIDS brings out all of our unresolved issues as individuals and as a community
• Death-accepting spiritual paths tend to draw HIV positive men, and can assist us in overcoming our fears around mortality
• HIV/AIDS is no longer a death sentence, yet we still associate them with death
• The evolution of safer sex practices affected our ability to connect, trust one another and be intimate in relationships

This is not a medical discussion about the transmission risks of HIV nor is it a discussion about safer sex practices and HIV prevention, see your doctor or local gay and lesbian center for assistance in finding information on those topics.

Make a Donation to Help Hyperion Out

I’ve found myself in a very difficult situation. I’m slated to appear at Pantheacon this weekend and give a presentation on the Unnamed Path, however, I cannot afford to make it up there. So, I’m asking very humbly if anyone can help me out with a donation, it would be greatly appreciated. Every donation helps, no matter how small, and it will help get me up there, spread the word about the Unnamed Path and bring our brothers together.

I also pay for the hosting of The Unnamed Path directly out of my pocket and the costs of keeping it up are getting harder and harder to afford. If you can help it will also assist me in keeping the Unnamed Path online.
